To me, health is about the relationship you have with yourself, your self talk, your thoughts, your mindset and your perspective. Health needs to be all encompassing. When I only focused on food and exercise, I looked to the outside world like a vision of health, but I was torturing myself inside. 
On healing myself, I found health, happiness and freedom. @Regran_ed from @christinafrangione_rd -  As American Thanksgiving approaches, you're probably seeing articles telling you which foods to avoid and which are lower calorie and therefore the "better" choice. These traditional "eat this", "not that" posts completely negate a person's personal preferences, hunger, and satisfaction levels. So this Thanksgiving, instead of sticking to a list of "better" foods, choose the foods that taste good and satisfy you. Choose to eat your Aunt Suzie's sweet potato casserole that you don't eat any other time of the year. Choose to stop eating anything that doesn't taste good or make you feel good. Choose to go back for seconds if you're still hungry or if something tastes really good and you're not yet satisfied.   • Who else out there loves #tabata ?? I know I do! It's a quick and effective way to get a full body workout in - and you'll definitely feel the burn! This is the workout my #ExpatsExercise class did this week. To do it, simply warm up for a few minutes and then set a timer (or a Tabata timer) to four minutes and start with the first exercise. Work for 20 second bursts (give it all you've got!!), rest for 10 seconds and then repeat until the four minutes are up. Take a rest and then start again with the next exercise on the list. Repeat the process until you've  checked off the list, then cool down and stretch. You can do it!!! 👏💪

  • Bowl of goodness after tabata class tonight! Many cups of kale topped with balsamico, green beans, black beans, and roasted sweet potato and carrots. Easy easy easy (the whole thing took less than 20 minutes and only five of those were active!), and delicious + nutritious. What's on your menu tonight? Xx

  • Squat to zip up with kettlebell! I often hear that people are intimidated to start stength training but it is SO GOOD for your body and really is available to everyone! 
A few pointers for this particular move:
Lower back neutral (tailbone tucked) ✔️
Knees in line with toes (no further) ✔️
Knees staying parallel to one another ✔️
Long neck / looking up when going up ✔️ Gym: @trainmore 🏋️
Pants & shoes: @asicseurope 🏃‍♀️
