Hellllllo Everyone,
I hope you’re each hanging on and keeping your chin up (not to mention staying safe and well!) during this crazy global moment we’re all living through. Between the pandemic and widespread social and political upheaval, I know many people are dealing with higher than usual levels of anxiety, frustration and more. I get it. In the midst of all the chaos, I’m pregnant! Because what’s a worldwide virus without extra hormones and having to plan for a new family member?!
All jokes aside, this pregnancy has been nothing like I’d planned. We’ve cancelled trips to see our family, have all but given up on the idea of a baby shower, and my partner has had to sit out appointments we thought we’d share together. Not to mention we’ve been working from home together for 4+ months! Luckily, I’ve been feeling well enough to continue working, which is great! And, if there is one silver lining of the pandemic, it’s that, while my previous scope of fitness was the Amsterdam area, it’s now THE WORLD, as I’m teaching all classes virtually! That means that no matter where you’re based on where you travel to, you can tune in and sweat out all that frustration with me from the comfort of your home. WOO!!
These past few months I’ve had students tune in from around the globe: from Mexico and the US to the UK and Italy. Not only is our community fabulously supportive and fun, but it reflects all levels of fitness and ability. Talk about a great thing for this life moment!
Of course, things are slowing down slightly as I continue to grow (hello third trimester watermelon-sized stomach), but the sweat levels are still high and the classes are still ongoing! Right now I’m offering four different styles of classes:
- Arms & Abs: This class uses light weights and our own body weight to work your upper body to the max! Pilates, calisthenics and strength moves will leave you feeling long and strong in 30 minutes. Class length: 30 minutes.
- Barre: A barre-less barre class! Barre pairs pilates and ballet training moves to tone, strengthen and lengthen you in all directions. Light weights (or weight replacements) are used to increase muscular endurance and are paired with mat work to ensure a well-rounded routine. Class length: 45 minutes.
- Booty Burn: Using booty/resistance bands, light weights (or weight subs) and high reps, this 30 minute class is non-stop booty and back moves that is sure to leave you feeling the heat! Class length: 30 minutes.
- Cardio Burst: This is a low-impact (jumping optional!), high intensity interval class designed to get your heart rate up and your skin glowing! In just 30 minutes we work from head to toe, with a different focus area each week. Low-impact options are offered for all moves and modifications are offered for anyone who needs/desires them! Class length: 30 minutes.
