Emily: “I attended Vivian’s fitness classes as a new mum. Having previously been active and a regular attendee of resistance/HITT training, pregnancy and childbirth took away much of my confidence in my body, both physically and mentally. Meeting Vivian at this time was a game-changer. I was amazed by how much she understood my reservations and gently encouraged me to exercise, gradually increasing intensity to that of before my pregnancy. She puts a lot of thought into planning routines and each class is unique. She reads the room well and adjusts the tempo accordingly.
Above all though, Vivian’s attitude and her sunny disposition is her greatest strength. She’s funny, self-deprecating and honest throughout her class. She’s incredibly encouraging, participates in the exercise herself and is out of breath when you are! I have attended classes with many instructors and can categorically say that Vivian’s combination of a kick-ass workout with sincere encouragement and good spirit is my all-time favourite.”

Valeria: “Vivian is the best! She’s a good listener and explains each exercise carefully making sure the right muscles are engaged. My situation is complex and she has taken the time to understand and customize my workout. Vivian is kind and professional, but also pushes me—exactly what I was looking for in a trainer. I see improvements already!”

Mansi: “I didn’t believe in going to the gym or attending any fitness classes until I met Vivian. I am a marathon runner and all that I really cared about was my legs and running in open air! Curiosity brought me to Vivian’s class and I loved it so much that I have made it a point to attend all her classes. She made me realise how important it is to have a balanced work out for the whole body, to eat well, to rest well and to feel good about oneself! … After 3 months of one class per week, my upper body strength and fitness has greatly increased (I can easily hold a pan full of food …it was an impossible task for me 3 months ago!)”

Emma: “Vivian’s classes comprise a variety of moves, a mixture of cardio and muscle building. Some of the moves are fun, and some are more gruelling. There is really a bit of everything! Even though I have been
attending fitness classes for over five years, Vivian still shows me moves that I have never tried before.
She is a very clear communicator, often putting things in layman’s terms so we can understand what muscles we are working, and why we are working them. For example, with different types of push-ups. I never feel confused by the terminology, Vivian always explains the jargon. She makes an effort to demonstrate moves from different angles, so we can see exactly what each posture should look like.
I have spoken to Vivian about eating, body image, and motivations for exercise. She is an easy person to talk to. I feel extra confidence in Vivian as a teacher because she knows my motivations, and understands me on a personal level. When I told Vivian I wanted to focus on glute workouts, she made an effort to incorporate more of these moves in our routines.
I am seeing physical and emotional benefits from training with Vivian. I am physically stronger. In all moves, I am now achieving more reps than before. We measure this from class to class, so the transformation is undeniable. Also, I am now more able to modify moves to make them harder. I have improved definition in my upper arms. My stamina has improved hugely. I feel uplifted after Vivian’s classes.”

Madiha: “I trained with Vivian for almost 6 months at INSEAD one on one. As a beginner to HIIT workouts, I was very intimidated given the level of expertise I would see at the gym around me, but Vivian was patient and made me feel at ease about saying things like “I don’t know what a burpee is”.
She is a great coach, breaking down movements and explaining things in a manner that is easily understood. She tailored the workouts to my ability, making them harder over time helping me to build strength.
Her positive and friendly demeanour was very encouraging – even to this day when I work out by myself I can picture her saying “last one best one!” and give myself that extra push to complete a challenging set.
I always came out of a workout feeling like I had accomplished a lot, and would be excited for the next session. She helped me develop a positive body image in the process, and to have a balanced approach to fitness as lifestyle and not a quick fix. I’ve trained with Goodlife Trainers in Toronto and none of them were ever as invested in their clients as Vivian.”
